The renowned Paul Hindle, a former geographer at Salford University and leading light of the Manchester Bolton and Bury Canal Society and the Manchester Geographical Society was our speaker. He took us through a series of slides with then/now photographs illustrating two walks through Salford. We were also honoured by the presence of the Rt Worshipful the Ceremonial Mayor of the City of Salford, Councillor Heather Fletcher.
